Ashura service for 5 thousand people in Alanya

Alanya Municipality held the traditional ashura catering event, which it organizes every year on the occasion of Muharram, this year as well. Ashura was served to 5 thousand people in Alanya Municipality Tuesday Bazaar.

Alanya Municipality continued its traditional ashura catering event this year on the occasion of Muharram.

After the prayer at Alanya Municipality Tuesday Bazaar, the event started at 9.30 and served as a treat for 5 thousand people.

Ashure cauldrons were decorated with the 100th anniversary logo on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Turkey.

Alanya Mayor Adem Murat Yücel, headmen, heads of chambers and citizens attended the catering event.

Thanking the citizens who attended the event, Alanya Mayor Adem Murat Yücel said, “We tasted the excitement and joy of sharing, one of the most beautiful feelings in life, with the ashura prepared on the occasion of Muharram.

As Alanya Municipality, we offered ashura to 5 thousand citizens. We had the pleasure of fulfilling our tradition.

Mayor Yücel, who visited the citizens at the Tuesday Bazaar after the Ashura catering event, chatted with the tradesmen and citizens.

Citizens also thanked Mayor Yücel for serving ashura.
