Today Alanya celebrates its 800th anniversary

Recall that 800 years ago, the Seljuk Sultan Alaaddin Keykubad conquered the city, built a fortress and the Red Tower in it, and from that time it is customary to count the Turkish part of the history of this beautiful resort town in southern Turkey.

Many different events will take place in Alanya today and tomorrow. Exhibitions, concerts, solemn performances of representatives of the city administration are planned. Also, on November 6, the cable car will operate free of charge from 12 noon to 11 pm.

Alanya is a wonderful international city, a real pearl of the Mediterranean, a city that is known and loved far beyond Turkey.
